At the Royal Oak we are keen to keep our customers and staff as safe as possible and therefore have felt the need to implement a brand-new safety policy in alignment with the governments regulations.
We hope that all our customers will respect these and help us to keep all of our guests and staff safe when visiting us.
We are asking our customers to pay by card to reduce the risk of spreading the virus by handling cash payments. We accept all major debit and credit cards excluding american express.
All customers must wear face coverings on arrival. Table service will be provided and guests are asked to remain in their seats whilst dining.
All tables are reserved and need to be allocated to you by a staff member.
Tables are strictly allocated to guests that have booked in. Guests are asked not to take a table without being checked in first. Once seated we kindly ask that you do not move tables. If you would like to move to a different table please ask a member of staff and they will be happy to assist you. This allows our staff to monitor the tables efficiently and ensure that they have been sanitised before the table is given to you.
At busy times you may be asked to wait for a table to be cleared. We kindly ask that you please be patient with us as we are ensuring that the tables are properly disinfected before new guests are seated to reduce the risk of the covid-19 virus.
We are operating a no paper menu, Our menu is updated daily and is available to down load in a PDF format whilst you are in the restaurant using our network.
One - way rule
We are asking all guests to come in through the bar door and exit via the dining room door. Please see signage for guidance.
One person is allowed into the toilet at any one time – One in one out rule at all times please.
If guests are dining in the dining room we ask that all other guests use the dining room external door at the front of the building and walk around outside and come into the rear dining room door to use the toilets.
Dogs allowed by prior arrangement only
We are sorry however due to social distancing rules and lack of space, we are no longer allowing dogs in the restaurant during busy times.
Please check before bringing a dog with you as dogs are only accepted by prior arrangement as we have limited capacity for them. A £10 charge per person will apply if you book a table and fail to let us know you have a dog and we are unable to accommodate you.
We have a large marquee that all our guests with dogs or without dogs are welcome to use to dine or to drink. We also have a patio heater to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Our main priority is to keep everyone as safe as possible whilst visiting us. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Families with small children
Families that are dining with small children are asked to ensure that their children and not allowed to roam free throughout the pub and encourage their children to maintain social distancing with other guests at all times.
Track & Trace
We are supporting the NHS track and trace, any guest visiting our venue will be asked for their name, telephone number and the number of guests in their party. Alternatively guests can send an email to email@example.com providing this information.
Rudeness and aggression
As always and as part of our normal policy, any rudeness or verbal aggressiveness will not be tolerated towards any other guests or staff.
Any guests that are found to be breaking any part of our Covid-19 policy may be asked to settle their tabs and asked to leave the venue without notice.
