The Royal Oak Inn is a characterful freehouse dating back to at least 1760. Located beside the wonderful scenery of the Manifold Valley in a village called Wetton, it is within walking distance of local attractions such as Thors Cave, Wetton Mill and the stepping stones at Dovedale and is therefore popular with walkers, campers and cyclists as well as those just wanting to view the sweeping hillside while out on a leisurely drive.
We serve home cooked food and a selection of fine real ales. We also have a secluded (registered) campsite situated at the rear of the premises complete with Male/Female toilets and showers, but no electrical hook up.
Wehave now completed the conversion of THE HAYLOFT, which is a detached 2 bedroomed spacious barn conversion sited between the pub and the church. This provides brand new self catering accommodation for 4 people at only £60 per night for the barn (minimum 3 nights). Separate parking, enclosed patio garden, lounge, dining kitchen, entrance hall, 2 shower rooms, bar / games room, utility room, double bedroom, twin bedroom. Well beahved dogs welcome. It is available from the start of the summer school holidays. Please contact us for further information.
